To quote the CNAH:

GAFFNEY CHELONIAN SYMPOSIUM IN CANADA

A symposium on fossil turtles in honor of Gene Gaffney will be held at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada, on 17-18 October 2009. This symposium is a follow-up to the turtle symposium held at the Zoological Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 2003, and will be a unique opportunity to share information with researchers from around the world about the evolution, paleobiology, and paleoecology of turtles. The two-day event will feature keynote and other invited speakers, technical oral and poster presentations, social events, and a post-conference field trip (on 19 October) to explore the richly fossiliferous Upper Cretaceous formations of southern Alberta. Opportunities for studying collections held at the Royal Tyrrell Museum may be arranged with advance notice. A Festschrift volume, to be published as a Bulletin of the American Museum of Natural History, will accompany the symposium.
