Arrrrrrrgh. I had it with Windows XP. Every time I get it to function like I want it to, something else arise. It is ticking me off. I am seriously considering switching to a Linux distro like Ubuntu, Kubuntu or Xubuntu. I remember years ago, I was experiencing the same frustration and was considering Mandrake, Gentoo, SuSe or Red Hat, but decided against doing so because I was still heavily into video gaming back then. I honestly believe that Windows is only good as long it is not connected to the Internet; or any other network.
I shouldn’t have to constantly keep my firewall, spyware detectors and anti-viruses up to date with multiple programs just to prevent my Windows XP from screwing up. Yeah, yeah, I know… “it’s your own fault for downloading so much junk.” I don’t want to worry about what go in and out of my computer anymore at this point.
Now, I don’t really do much beside writing, web design, graphics design and a few others. I know I will be at a disadvantage for not having access to all of the useful software out there, but at the same time I have minimal exposure to malicious software. Most of my video-gaming is limited to the Xbox 360 and abandonware anyway nowadays. I just have to figure out how to install Ubuntu onto my computer without burning a disc.
Wish me luck…

Good luck to ya.
After amost nil sleep with computer problems i feel your pain!
